Education Committee
The Education Committee is interested in promoting education in the community.
This past year we participated in several projects connected with the Building Literacy Together program. We sponsored a letter in the Alphabet Garden at the Qualicum Beach Elementary School, started a Read Team at Errington Elementary and provided additional reading material for their early literacy program.
In 2011-2012 we are participating in the Community Reader program at Arrowview Elementary School on Thursday mornings. We will also help pilot a literacy program with the RCMP through the Building Literacy Together program at Parksville Elementary School. This program will help promote reading in an intermediate grade classroom.
The committee is always looking for more members to get involved, we would love to have you join us!
